Prior to founding 537 Studios, Les spent over two decades as an accomplished international touring and studio musician.  Following his early success as keyboard/guitarist for Howie Day's Gold-Certified Stop All the World Now (Epic Records), Les was tapped by Trey Anastasio to play guitars and keyboards in Trey's post-Phish rock touring band, 70 Volt Parade, launching a headlining tour for Trey's album Shine (Columbia Records).

Hall later joined as lead guitarist and collaborative songwriter in the hard rock platinum-selling band, Crossfade.  After touring for the band's sophomore release, Falling Away (Columbia Records), Hall served as the principal songwriter and producer for Crossfade's critically-acclaimed 3rd album, We All Bleed (Eleven Seven Music).

In addition to his extensive recording work and touring work with Howie Day, Trey Anastasio, and Crossfade, Hall's studio album credits include working with top selling artists such as Jewel and producers Rick Beato and Martin Terefe.

Hall has also produced and recorded a number of independent artists, including Atlanta-based artist, The Whiskey Gentry, and their 2017 release, Dead Ringer.

In between touring and studio work, Hall's composition work has allowed him to pursue a range of film score and documentary projects.  Hall is the composer of the 2021 feature film, East of the Mountains, starring Tom Skerritt and Mira Sorvino.  Hall also composed the original score for Freedom's Fury, a Quentin Tarantino executive produced feature-length documentary about Hungary's Olympic water polo team during the Revolution of 1956, narrated by Mark Spitz.  He has also composed scores for National Geographic, several short films, and managed string arrangements and piano duties for the film score on Rob Zombie's House of 1000 Corpses.
